Civil War medical instruments were among exhibits and items displayed in tents erected by the National Park Service.

Lincoln-Thomas Day Observance

On Saturday, September 17, 2011, MRSPT, organized a program to commemorate Lincoln-Thomas Day.  The National Federation of Colored Women’s Club of America in session August 3-6, 1924 at Chicago, Illinois, designated September 22, 1924, as a Memorial Day in honor of President Abraham Lincoln and Elizabeth Thomas, who was known as the owner of Fort Stevens.
