On Saturday, January 28, 2006, MRSPT held a Prayer Breakfast at the St. Luke Baptist Church, located on Gallatin Street in northwest Washington. Approximately 70 attendees, including Military Road School alumni, MRSPT members, representatives from partnering organizations and those who have offered support through various means, gathered for food and fellowship.

Traditionally supportive of the Military Road School throughout its existence, the St. Luke Baptist Church fellowship, including its Pastor, Rev. Aubrey C. Lewis, and several key members, donated the facilities and their services to this effort. The Board of Directors, which sponsored and hosted this year’s kickoff event, was assisted by other MRSPT members and friends, who volunteered their time and talents to help make the breakfast a huge success.
