Fort Stevens Day

On July 11, 2009, MRSPT participated in the 2009 celebration of this famous Civil War site, located in northwest Washington.  In addition to exhibiting photographs which depict the Military Road School’s history, several Board members answered questions, distributed literature, and shared their experiences as former students.  The National Park Services, which sponsors this annual event, featured authentic music, reenactments and exhibits through which visitors could learn about the Fort’s historical significance.  More
